Meet Cupid

This sweet gal is Cupid and she'd like to put an arrow right through your heart (in the best way).

Cupid is around 5 and she's overall on the mellow side. She's an independent gal who will swing by for kisses and snuggles and some booty scratches and then she'll go off on her own to chill out.

If you're a family who is looking for a smart, easy, not very hyper dog - Cupid is your match!

If you have another dog at home, please bring him or her by for a meet.

Meet Dallas

We absolutely love this little nugget.  Dallas can be a little dominant, she needs an experienced home with structure that will remind her that she is not the boss. 

No small kids, teens ok, and a home with not a lot of foot traffic that knows how to do proper introduction with visitors.

Dallas is just three years old, as you can see absolutely adorable, and has so much potential when she is given structure! If this sounds like you and you're interested, apply to adopt and meet Dallas!

Meet Rocco

Hiya! I'm Rocco - the handsome and debonair dude waiting to meet you. 

I arrived here as a stray a few months ago. The humans think I am 7 years young. I def had a family at one time. They taught me to go potty outside. They showed me love and affection. But then something happened and I was alone. My smile shows you that I can bounce back from unfortunate situations.

The trainer lady did an eval on me and said I'm a good dog. I share my food and toys nicely. I met a couple of dogs - I did better with some than with others. I love people! I think I would be okay with little people too.

One half of the Swiss and Cheese duo, meet this adorable pup that is sure to steal your heart!

Like his sister, Swiss is learning "sit" and getting the hang of it! Potty training is still in the works, but he works hard to hold it until he gets outside.

Swiss isn't shy around other doggies, including those bigger than him.

Associated Humane Society of Tinton Falls

The mission of the Associated Humane Societies, Inc., including Popcorn Park Animal Refuge, is to consistently provide the highest quality of care to all animals, domestic and wildlife, including their rescue, housing, veterinary care, placement whenever possible, and when required, a peaceful end. It's mission is also to prevent cruelty to all animals, primarily in New Jersey, but also throughout the United States. This shall be done through direct intervention as well as the promotion of humane education regarding the proper care and treatment of animals at both public and private levels, thereby advancing the humane treatment of animals everywhere.

Whether you're looking to bring in a couple of bags of dog food or a truckload of pet supplies, every donation is so greatly appreciated!  As a non-profit that operates three large animal care facilities and our Popcorn Park Animal Refuge, it's difficult to keep up with the demand of all of the items needed to provide for our many animals.  Thanks to our wonderful supporters, no animal at AHS ever wants for anything!  You can drop off donations anytime to any of our facilities and you can also send each location items through our Amazon Wishlists.

Between our animal care facilities in Tinton Falls, Newark, and Forked River, and our Popcorn Park Animal Refuge, AHS cares for literally thousands of animals every year!  We're so thankful to our wonderful supporters that help us in this demanding task.  We've created a Chewy.com Wishlist that enables our supporters to purchase items that we use every day in caring for our animals and send them directly to us!  Items will be sent to our Forked River location where they will be divided equally among our facilities.
