Since 1956, Lester Glenn Auto Group and Lester Glenn Subaru have operated with a core set of values focused on customer service and community involvement.
Throughout the years, the Lester Glenn Family of Automotive Dealerships has been proud to participate in and support local events, fundraisers and organizations in our community through the Lester Glenn Cares Community Involvement Initiative. From sponsored charity golf outings, to holding fundraisers in our store, to annual giving, to providing items for auction, we are proud to play a small role in supporting the amazing nonprofit organizations in our community.

Oak Street School
As part of the Subaru Loves Learning initiative, Lester Glenn Subaru made a surprise appearance at Oak Street School's back-to-school night to make an announcement to teachers, students and families.
The team at Lester Glenn Subaru had the pleasure of sharing the news that they had just donated $13,000, plus school supply kits to benefit all the students and teachers in the school!
In partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, Lester Glenn Subaru "adopted" all of the classrooms in the school. Teachers were given funding to purchase supplies for the school year, in addition to the donated Subaru school supply kits that included pens, pencils, markers, dry-erase markers, earbuds, wipes and more!
Point Pleasant Challenger Flag Football Program
What started in 2020 as a campaign to raise funds for a local organization in our community has budded into an incredible partnership between Lester Glenn Subaru and the Point Pleasant Challenger Flag Football Program.
The Point Pleasant Challenger Flag Football Program allows players of all ages to participate in the football program, with currently more than 40 athletes registered. By joining the football program, these athletes have the opportunity to participate in a team sport, experience the thrill of victory and gain skills toward their coordination and endurance.
The Clash Of The Titans is an annual football game between Lester Glenn Subaru and the Point Pleasant Challenger Flag Football Team. This annual game proves to be more than just a football game, with many available carnival games and attractions, as well as food vendors other family-fun options available. 2023 marked the 3rd Annual Clash Of The Titans, with the goal of raising awareness and funds for the Point Pleasant challenger Flag Football Program.
Since 2020, Subaru and Lester Glenn Subaru have donated more than $67,000 to the Point Pleasant Challenger Flag Football Program to help create opportunities for children with special needs to learn the value of teamwork and inclusion.
Associated Humane Society of Tinton Falls
Since 2015, we have partnered with the Associated Humane Society of Tinton Falls to hold adoption day events at our showroom. Each year, we set to improve upon the prior year's festivities. With additions like a Pet Costume Contest, donations for test drives, covering adoption expenses for attendees, partnering with vendors to provide complimentary supplies, food and adoption kits, the adoption events are something we look forward to every year!
Our hope is always that our shelter partner receives as much assistance as possible to help them continue their amazing efforts of making a difference in the lives of animals in our community. We truly thank them for their commitment to our community and are proud to have the opportunity to assist them as we have the last few years.
The Associated Humane Societies, founded in 1906, is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey. The Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
Operation Yellow Ribbon
The Lester Glenn Subaru team collected donated supplies that were shipped to our active military members serving overseas. Thanks to everyone's support, we were able to completely fill a Subaru Ascent with donated items!
Operation Yellow Ribbon is a nonprofit, NJ-based organization whose mission is supporting our troops serving overseas through the collection of donated supplies as well as facilitating welcome home events for local veterans.
Your Grandmother's Cupboard
The Lester Glenn Subaru team held a donation drive inside the showroom. All items collected at our donation drive were donated to Your Grandmother's Cupboard whose mission it is to help meet the needs of the homeless, working poor, seniors, children, and any of those in need. With all the support, we were able to fill a Subaru Outback with donated items!
Your Grandmother's Cupboard is a non-profit organization established by people who recognize the needs of those living in poverty. They envisioned it as a means of providing the homeless and others living in poverty with clothing and common items they need to maintain good health and hygiene but often can't afford.
Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge
The Lester Glenn Subaru team held a donation drive at our showroom. All items collected at our donation drive were donated to Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge to help support its dedication to preserving New Jersey's wildlife and habitats through education, conservation and rehabilitation. Thanks to everyone's support, we were able to fill a Subaru Forester with donated items!
Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving New Jersey's wildlife and habitats. The refuge consists of 171 wooded acres, which include a Nature Center, an outdoor Wildlife Housing Area, and a Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital, located on the edge of the Pine Barrens.
The Hope Center
The Lester Glenn Subaru team collected donations in support of The Hope Centers mission to help those in crisis by helping to provide for their basic human needs while also empowering each person to achieve their greatest level of self-sufficiency.
The Hope Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is that of serving individuals and families in crisis by helping to provide for their basic human needs while also empowering each person to achieve their greatest level of self-sufficiency.
Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey
The Lester Glenn Subaru team collected donations in support of its dedication to helping individuals fight cancer. With all the support, the Lester Glenn Subaru team was able to fill a Subaru Outback with boxes of donated items!
The Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey is New Jersey's only National Cancer Institute (NCI) - designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Their internationally recognized team of physicians and researchers work together to accelerate scientific discovery focused on understanding cancer, innovating cancer treatment, and improving cancer prevention.
Marty's Place - Senior Dog Sanctuary
The Lester Glenn Subaru team collected donations in support of Marty's Place and its commitment to caring for senior dogs.
Providing old friends with a loving home for life.
Marty's Place is located in Upper Freehold Township, and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of senior dogs and ensuring that older dogs, whose owners can no longer care for them, will have a safe and loving forever home.
Small Miracles
The Lester Glenn Subaru team collected donations in support of Small Miracles and its mission to create positive experiences for pediatric oncology patients.
Small Miracles is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization created by Jordyn Small during her own diagnosis and treatment. During this time, she saw that items donated were geared more toward younger children. Jordyn wanted to create something special that would recognize the teenagers who are going through their own treatments by creating treatment bags that would help enhance their lives in a positive way.
Ocean's Harbor House
The Lester Glenn Subaru team collected donations in support of Ocean's Harbor House and its mission of providing shelter, support, and services to runaway and homeless youth.
Ocean's Harbor House is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency located in Toms River, NJ. It was founded in June 1995 by a group of concerned citizens and community leaders to address the needs of homeless, runaway and abandoned youth in crisis. Over the years, Ocean's Harbor House has evolved in its mission of helping youth in crisis to also focusing on prevention and empowerment. The organization aims to help those in need to fully understand their potential by learning skills that empower them to build successful lives, relationships, and futures.
Jersey Cares
The Lester Glenn Subaru team collected donations of new and gently used Halloween costumes to help bring imagination and magic to life for children living in New Jersey during the Halloween season in support of Jersey Cares' mission.
Jersey Cares is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that relies on the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations to help meet their mission. Jersey Cares has numerous opportunities throughout the year where people can support their work and volunteer their time.
Help Hope Live - Lauren Shevchek
Lester Glenn Subaru was proud to sponsor the 9th Annual Golf Fundraiser Tournament for Lauren Shevchek, in support of the Mid-Atlantic Catastrophic Injury Fund through Help Hope Live.
After completing her freshman year at Penn State University, Lauren became a quadriplegic from a fluke diving accident. As Lauren began her quest to heal, she became an advocate for Dive Safety and found that the best odds for recovery were through Activity Based Therapy (ABT).
Through Lauren's campaign, in partnership with Help Hope Live, she has hosted nine annual golf fundraiser tournaments. Lester Glenn Subaru was proud to sponsor the 2023 Golf Tournament as the Gift Bag Sponsor! All funds raised at the events held by Lauren help thousands in the Mid-Atlantic region who have survived catastrophic injuries.
To date, Help Hope Live (HHL) has generated more than $131 million in funds for patients and administered more than 8,000 patient campaigns. HHL has helped restore independence and quality of life for more than 1,000 individuals living with Spinal Cord Injuries
The Valerie Fund
For the past several years, Lester Glenn Subaru has selected The Valerie Fund as its Subaru Share The Love hometown charity partner.
Subaru of America donated $250 for every new Subaru vehicle leased or purchased during a specific time between the months of November and January. During the 2022 campaign, these donations totaled $20,296 in support of The Valerie Fund's mission.

The Valerie Fund's mission is to provide individualized care to children at medical centers close to home, because it believes the most effective way to heal the children in its care is to treat them emotionally, socially and developmentally, as well as medically.
